Goole man arrested after police execute £53million drugs bust

A man from Goole has been arrested after officers from the Regional Organised Crime Unit and UK Border Force seized 536 kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of £53million. The drugs were seized at the London Gateway port, near Thurrock, Essex, earlier this month. Local flood defence works hampered by wintry weather

Bad weather has slowed progress on a £17m project set to strengthen flood defences on Dutch River near Goole which will help protect around 10,000 properties.
