Santa set to swing by Hook

’Tis the season of goodwill, and this year Santa will visit Hook on his travels to help raise money for the renovation of St Mary’s Church.

The annual Hook Santa ride around the village will take place on December 21 from 3.30pm. There will be refreshments, raffle and children’s activities in the Memorial Hall from 3.30pm and at River Close. The elves will be handing out sweets as Santa and Mrs Clause travel around the village on their sleigh. Any money raised will go towards renovation costs of St Mary’s Church in Hook. (11-12-158 SU)

Hospital visitors asked to wear masks

Visitors to wards and clinical departments at Hull Royal Infirmary are being asked to wear face masks to protect patients from winter illnesses.
