Two kind-hearted youngsters from Eastrington have raised £105 for two good causes after holding a cake and book stall in their garden.
Emmie Barker, 9 and little sister, Sylvie, 6, got busy baking tasty treats to sell to neighbours and friends on their chairty cake stall on Saturday, July 31. The girls also sold books and plants which had been donated be people in the village in order to raise money for Howden based Pricklington Palace Hedgehog Rescue and Save the Children. The sisters chose to support the two charities as a close relative works for Save the Children and after learning about the local hedgehog rescue centre in school.
