Fitmums and Friends of Goole have donated Easter goodies to the staff at Goole Hospital.
The running group were due to host a coffee morning to raise funds to take part in the Great North Run.
A number of members were due to take part in the marathon to raise money for a variety of charities but due to the Coronavirus
Event organiser Helen Bayard had collected a number of Easter Eggs, Easter chocolates and had put together 30 bags of sweets for the event and didn’t want them to go to waste.
Helen said: “I wanted to find a worthy cause to donate the goodies to so they did not go to waste. My daughter, Sarah Wilson, suggested we donate them to Goole Hospital to thank the staff for the great work they are doing.”
Several members of the running group work at the hospital and Helen knew how hard they were working so thought it was a fitting place to donate the goodies.
Wendy Lamb, Fitmums Goole co-ordinator said: “I am very proud of Helen, she has a heart of gold.”
