The Crowle Entertainers are staging their first production since January 2020.
Called ‘An Act of Murder’, it follows a struggling theatre company who perform a murder mystery when things take a strange turn and a real murder takes place. Go along on Saturday, July 9 and see if you can solve the murder and guess who did it!
Director Gillian Vickers said: “It has been far too long since our group has been able to perform in front of an audience - both our January 21 and January 22 pantomimes were unable to go ahead due to Covid. “We kept the group going online by producing a radio play and two films which were all put together remotely online during lockdown. “We also did lots of online play readings via Zoom in order to keep the group together, but there is nothing like performing in front of a live audience, so we are hoping that local people will come out and support our group and have a fun night out into the bargain.”
The play is running at 7:30pm and tickets are £5. They are available from Crowle Regen Shop, Crowle Tesco, by calling 07966315733 or on the door. The seating is cabaret style and attendees are invited to bring their own refreshments.
The Crowle Entertainers have not been able to perform for the last two years due to the pandemic. (09-06-10 SU)
