Covid cases have risen, both locally and nationally, once again following a one-week cooling period.
Goole West is up by 20 cases, Goole East by seven, Howden North, Eastrington and Swinefleet by seven and Howden South and Goole North by 13. The climb reflects regional and national trends which after just one week of decline have begun to rise once again. The East Riding of Yorkshire had 429 cases per 100,000 people compared to a national average of 314 in the week ending on September 3, according to figures published by the BBC. This is a rise of 184 individual cases compared to the previous week.

Market Weighton: 19 cases (down 1), case rate per 100,000 people: 223.4. Gilberdyke and North Cave: 24 cases (down 14), case rate per 100,000 people: 303. South Cave, Newbald and Little Weighton: 24 cases (neutral), case rate per 100,000 people: 327.4. Moorends: 37 cases (up 16), case rate per 100,000 people: 579.8. Thorne: 54 cases (down 3), case rate per 100,000 people: 478.9.
