New peaceful protest at Goole Hospital on Friday

February 7, 2025

A second peaceful protest will take place at Goole Hospital as part of the fight against any changes to patient services.

Concerns were raised in December when staff said they were told about plans to close parts of the site. But hospital bosses say no decisions have been made. The protest is planned for Friday February 14 on Woodland Avenue, opposite the hospital entrance. It starts at 8.30am and runs until 10.30am. Organisers said the reason for the early start was to coincide with a meeting between leaders from East Riding Council and Goole MP Sir David Davis. “We understand it is early and that not everyone can make a weekday and this early, however anyone that can support us will be very welcome. “The reason this is important is East Riding of Yorkshire Councils needs to see the support from our local community and the media will be there to bring attention to our plight. “We will also be filming for a documentary we are working on.”
