Exciting plans to transform Goole’s historic Market Hall into a vibrant food, drink and events venue using £4 million of Goole Town Deal funding are progressing.
In preparation for when refurbishment work is complete, Coverpoint, a specialist within the food service sector that East Riding of Yorkshire Council (which owns the Market Hall) has appointed to work on its behalf, is seeking expressions of interest from potential commercial operators for the venue. The council, working in conjunction with the Goole Town Deal Board, is open to expressions of interest from a broad range of potential operators, from restaurants, breweries, coffee roasters and social enterprises to street food collectives, contract caterers and local entrepreneurs. The chosen operator will manage the venue, taking responsibility for letting the food and drink kiosks within it and organising both commercial and community events. Interested parties must have the passion and ability to help turn the Market Hall into an attractive visitor destination that, together with the other seven projects funded by Goole Town Deal, will enhance Goole town centre by increasing footfall and boosting the local economy. Expressions of interest will need to be submitted to Coverpoint.
Following this process, East Riding of Yorkshire Council will issue a detailed procurement document pack to potential operators, inviting them to submit a formal tender. If you’d like to express an interest in operating the venue, you can download more information from: https://www.gooletowndeal.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Goole-Market.pdf. Alternatively, you can register your interest or have an informal chat with Richard Moulds of Coverpoint by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or telephoning 07808 887 055.
