An acclaimed pianist duo are set to entertain crowds at Howden Minster in Howdenshire Music Project’s next lunchtime concert.
The musical pairing of Amy Butler and Peter Sproston will appear at the free concert on Thursday, September 16 to perform a selection of works including Schubert’s Fantasie in F minor, Ravel’s Mother Goose suite, and works by Anthony Hedges and Dvořák University of Oxford graduate Amy has previously performed in the Howdenshire Music series and also enjoys an active performing career across the UK. The pianist who previously studied with British concert pianist Martin Roscoe will be joined by Peter Sproston who has previously performed alongside the Allegri String Quartet, as well as performed piano concertos by Beethoven and Mozart in Newcastle and in Hull.
