The organisers of Goole’s popular Parkrun, which takes every Saturday morning at the town’s West Park, are hosting their first ever Christmas Day run.
Everyone its invited to join in the fun, either in their finest Christmas attire - whether that means Christmas pyjamas or a first outing for a pair of brand new trainers - or in their usual running wear.
A spokesperson said: “Wear whatever you fancy, and come down and enjoy the festivities with your Goole Parkrun family! Whether you want to participate, spectate or volunteer, take a break from the present-opening madness or hide from the cooking duties, come and join us for some Christmas cheer!
“If Christmas Day is a difficult day for you, please know that you don't have to be a runner to come along to Goole Parkrun on Christmas Day. There will be plenty of friendly faces and you won't be alone. You might see someone you know or chat to someone new.”
The Parkrun team would like to thank all the volunteers who are supporting the event, which will take place from 9am and is free of charge.
